Clipboards help differentiate instruction. Some scholars benefit from working in small groups on the floor with their clipboards while other scholars work best at their desk. Scholars perform well when they are comfortable and are provided a great learning experience with the proper tools. Clipboards allow scholars to have a hard surface to work on and allows them to move around if they need to without any distractions. At the moment, we have only one clipboard in the classroom. The clipboards provide support during guided reading and writing. While we are practicing skills together, I am able to walk around and check for understanding of the skill.
