Every child can go to college. Our school is an urban high school for students in grades 7-12. About five years ago, we transitioned from being a building that serves students in grades 6-8 to a building that serves grades 7-12. The majority of our students are African American, however we do have a small fraction of our students who are Hispanic, Asian, and White. About 85% of our students live below the poverty level. We are a comprehensive high school that offers general diploma and honors level courses for students in each grade level. The majority of our graduates attend two year colleges, although a few of our students do attend four year institutions. The majority of our students are first generation, college bound students.
