This is my first year teaching my own classroom. I am blessed to have a school district that received a grant that would allow 1:1 technology for every student to use daily at school. This year I will receive my classroom set of iPad minis and I plan to immediately began integrating them into daily instruction. I plan on using them in guided reading, phonetic connections, math centers, science, and social studies instruction. My students will use the iPads every day to engage in fun and meaningful learning. The possibilities are truly endless. The past year in my internship I realized the importance of having sturdy, reliable headphones. I noticed how quickly the head phones that they were provided with, or brought with them, broke. Although headphones are on the yearly school supplies list, many of our parents simply cannot afford to provide these for their children. My students are in desperate need of headphones that can withstand the daily wear and tear of my Second Grade Kiddos. I have seen that students benefit the most from comfortable, adjustable, over the ear headphones. This allows students to hear their own iPad and for them to focus without the distraction of 24 other noisy iPads. With these headphones my students will be able to focus and use the technology we are blessed with. I can not thank you enough for considering to donate to this wonderful class of Second graders, who ready and eager to learn!
