Mine is a second grade classroom filled with enthusiastic learners who always want to share their work with one another. Our days are filled with creativity and exploration in a New York City public school that is located in one of the most diverse areas of our country. We speak many languages and our borough of Queens boasts an international school community that enriches us all. Our parents appreciate the many cultures that contribute to our understanding of the world and we are aware of the fact that this comes with the responsibility to bring only the best resources to the classroom. When we are designing, writing, illustrating or creating projects we want to share our ideas by projecting them on a whiteboard in the front of the room. Projecting work would allow the students to respond to presentations as a group eliminating the wait time needed for students to see the work of their peers.
