I am asking for 8 balance balls, 3 wobble chairs, and 5 stools. The students will use these forms of flexible seating during independent and collaborative learning. Research suggests that learners are more adequately able to focus when engaged in minimal movement. The seating I am requesting will allow students not only to be comfortable, but more focused on learning. Our learning community is ready to take off! The use of flexible seating will assist us throughout the day in becoming more engaged in our learning and more comfortable, too. I can't wait to see how much we will grow when we break out of our traditional seating!
