Kids love programming robots, but struggle learning math concepts. I would like to add Lego Mindstorm EV3 Robots to the classroom to help students learn math and develop problem solving skills. Fourth graders learn and retain decimals when they are programming robots. They also take risks solving math problems. My students need to learn problem solving skills by moving the robot in straight lines, around corners, and through mazes. Having the chance to take risks with robots will give them the confidence to take risk with math. It will also reinforce decimals, whole numbers, and fractions. Help us make math fun!
