The kids have come back to school with such eagerness to learn and the longing to be social with their friends. It has been wonderful to be back in the classroom after a long year of distance learning. These resources will help my second grade students improve the foundational skills that they are lacking due to virtual learning at home last year due to the COVID pandemic. These resources include standards in reading, writing, and math. I want to impart a love of reading, writing, and math to my students. These materials will help me increase their love of learning in all of our subjects. As their teacher, I would continue to move my students forward and encourage their intellectual curiosity. These resources will help me do that. These resources will also help me tune in to their social emotional needs, which is a lot greater this year after being home during distance learning.
