My students need access to engaging nonfiction texts, such as subscriptions to Time for Kids and Scholastic News. These magazines would allow my students to read about current events and the world around them. The magazines would allow my students to practice important reading skills such as inferring, predicting, and citing evidence from a text. My students are very fascinated by the world around them and I cannot express how much these nonfiction magazines would impact their learning! I cannot express enough the impact this would have! Thank you for your consideration in donating to my classroom! My students will love learning about current events while practicing their reading skills at the same time.
