My students will be learning about aeronautics. During this course, they will first explore the principles of motion and later apply them to create a modified chemical rocket with the goal of achieving the highest altitude. The STEM kits that I have chosen will allow them to explore how friction, force, mass, and energy all play roles in the movement of a machine (specifically a flying machine). The rocket kits coupled with the altimeter will allow my students to gather data regarding their machines flight. They will then redesign the rocket with the goal of its flight surpassing their original altitude.
