Our students deserve the best we can give to help them become successful. Hands -on projects engage kids who are tactile or kinesthetic learners, who need movement to learn best. Our students will be able to talk about their learning through the math and phonics games and explore hands on activities using the technology. Flocabulary is an awesome intervention tool to help us foster vocabulary acquisition for all the students. Our students will use the Luna to teach the class and discover learning objectives. They will be able to show their work using the Luna Projector and have the ability to make corrections while other students can view and see the progress. We want them to become active participants in their own learning. We will use the flash cards and math manipulative to help students see the concept of fractions and decimals in real life situations. Hands-on learning drives authentic understanding and application versus memorization algorithms, or tricks. Our Spanish speaking students will be able to read in their own language and transcribe ELA topics using the E-Reader and Amazon tablets. We will be able to isolate the learning for student who are below grade level in reading and help them to learn phonics in a fun way using the phonics resources. Some of our students have difficulty with writing. The hand coordination tools that we are asking for are great for teaching students the correct way to write without pain. We would like to teach students about responsibility and accountability. The fish project we are proposing will be an opportunity for students to learn STEM activities in life science and learn about being responsible to others. The bouncy bands will help our hyper students who will quietly use the bands with their feet and stay engaged during class time.
