Incorporating technology into the classroom is an effective way to reach many diverse learning styles. Technology encourages the students to stay engaged in learning and helps prepare them for future careers (Yes, we are already thinking about their future careers in first grade!). Technology also assists with assessment, documentation, and planning. This would be the first iPad in our classroom. Technology in the classroom engages students in learning and helps prepare them for their future. We will use the iPad in a variety of ways. Students will use the iPad during small group instruction, center or partner work, and one on one. From literacy to math to social emotional development, the iPad would greatly enrich their learning. The iPad also engages and motivates students and further develops their knowledge of technology. Any donation amount towards this classroom technology would be greatly appreciated. This is a wonderful group of young learners. I hope they leave first grade as life long learners!
