Right now, in my classroom, I may have the future President of the United States. I may also have the next doctor that performs a surgery on your loved one, the firefighter that puts out a fire in your neighborhood, or the teacher that teaches your children or grandchildren. Whichever path my students choose, I know they will all go on to do great things and their journey starts with me. I am a kindergarten/first grade teacher. I am the lucky one that gets to see the excitement in my students' eyes as they hear a new story or learn something new. I want to continue that love of learning by providing a supportive classroom rich with books and plenty of opportunities to grow.
