I teach in a low income and high risk neighborhood, but my students are excited everyday when they enter our classroom. They love to laugh and learn together! Many parents are unable to help with schoolwork at home due to working multiple jobs. My job is to continue to inspire them and their love of learning. I have a passion for reading, and my students have become motivated and committed readers every year. We have a regular Reader's Workshop that takes place each day where we share the friends we've made, places we've visited, and problems we've encountered all in the pages of a book. I thank you for any support you are able to give! We push ourselves to learn new things every day.
