I teach in a diverse suburban/ rural area, located in the greater Tampa area. I teach Physical and Earth/Space science. My classes are "regular", so I have a high proportion of students who often struggle in school, for a wide variety of reasons. Theese kids are funny, charismatic, introspective and cynical. Many come to me thinking that they cannot understand science, so a large amount of my job is not simply teaching the material, but making it meaningful and accessible.
