If my students receive the 6 requested Amazon Fire tablets, they will be able to use technology in class every day. They will read online journal articles and discuss them, they will complete research assignments, and work on various online assignments. Many of my students do not have at-home internet access! If they have classroom tablets, they will be able to spend a few minutes taking crucial notes for homework and projects from other classes. My students' English language will improve through discussions from the online assignments. We read lots of real world articles. After reading, we discuss them. Instead of always printing paper, the students can simply view them online. This will help them to prepare for online standardized testing too. With the tablets, students may be able to get help with some of their homework, without feeling left out, due to not having internet access at home.
