When appropriate technology is used effectively, it can be used with content to transform my students with special needs and give them the ability to learn through creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. Google Chromebooks give special education teachers the ability to access apps for education which can greatly provide students with opportunities that they would not have been exposed to, otherwise. Students learn in a variety of ways. Just as some students are auditory learners, others are visual, or kinesthetic, or tactile learners. This generation of children learn best using technology. Teachers need to prepare students for the working world. Technology is everywhere and students need to be exposed to it as much as possible in order to prepare them for the future. Chromebooks also mean cost savings when students are allowed to go virtually paperless.
