I am lucky enough to teach reading to the best students in Memphis. My students have diverse learning needs, and I want my classroom to be an environment where they can thrive and grow to their full potential. We set high expectations at my school and in my classroom no matter the learning challenges students may have. Providing an environment where my students can crush goals while overcoming learning challenges is crucial, and I believe these items will help make that possible. Learning differences are not a curse - when students learn to work with and around their challenges, they meet and exceed expectations and goals. We don't let differences slow us down, and we especially never say we can't do something. Even if some students are struggling to read or meet a goal, we say, "I'm still working on it." Please partner with me in helping my students have the environment that meets them where they are "still working on it," and fosters their growth to the next level.
