Your donations will help my students have access to timely, thought-provoking current events from a reputable and credible source. This will aid them in making thoughtful, insightful connections between what we study in class and the world around them. These materials are critical in helping them transform into critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and effective communicators - key 21st Century skills. These New York Times Upfront magazines will encourage students to read, analyze, and discuss diverse viewpoints and make connections with other text read and situations encountered. The end goal is to encourage students to critically evaluate the world around them. I want my students to not only be active critical thinkers within my classroom, but to carry those skills outside of the classroom to help make their world a better place.
