My students will go in-depth with Dorothy and friends to learn about Populism and prior economic conditions in America. They will also improve reading and writing skills, which will improve their ACT Aspire testing scores. Identified gifted and talented students in my Pre-AP Economics Class will benefit from extension activities that stem from this beloved classic text. I hope to team teach with an English teacher to really delve deeply into both Language Arts and Social Studies Curriculum. The students already know the movie, I would like to introduce them to the original intent of the author, L. Frank Baum.

About my class
