We are Team 17. We work together to create an environment filled with self mangers, capable independent learners, and collaborative problem solvers. We consider learning as a work out for our brains. When something is challenging, either socially or academically, we know it's just our brains working hard to get stronger! When you walk into our classroom, you are likely to see kids doing the work. They may be using Chromebooks to work on independent math goals or assignments in their Google Reading or Writing Classrooms. At the same time, you may see other kids working in a group with me, some spread around the room reading to self, and others writing in their journals. You might even see students up in front of the room, leading a discussion about the strategy they used to solve a math problem!
