My students need books that are relevant to them! I am lacking current multicultural novels in my classroom! Each day, my students sustain silent read for 15 minutes and journal for 10 minutes. They have a choice on what they read in class. Students are allowed to check out books from the library and read my classroom books as well. I would like to have a classroom full of choice books just like the library! We do fun book projects and literature circles that involve classroom novels as well. The more choices, the better for my students. Help us read!
