With these books, students will be exposed to different genres of reading materials. Most 3rd grade students have only read one type. They have never had the chance to read a variety of books. Hopefully they will be come to love a new genre of book and become a live long reader. Third grade is a very important year in students careers. I want all my students to learn to love reading and continue to read for enjoy and pleasure. I plan on having a "book tasting" with these books to teach the students about the different genres of books.
