Hi! My name is Megan McIver and I teach First Grade! I am currently trying to fund flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating allows students to have a choice in how they learn. This might be standing at a table, or sitting on the floor with a clipboard. It is designed to help students determine how they learn best. Classrooms that have flexible seating have shown improvement in student grades, better student engagement, and students are participating more in rigorous discussions! My vision so far includes desks that students can stand at, lap desks to use while sitting on the floor, inflated bouncy balls to use for seats, and rugs that students can sit on at a table that is low to the floor. Thank you in advance for your generous donation. I'm super excited to get going with flexible seating in my classroom!!
