There is no cookie cutter approach to teach children. Teaching has to fit the student, not the student fit the teaching. My kindergarten students remind me of this daily. By having a diverse library in the classroom I would be able to meet the interest of my students. I am asking for books that I will use as part of an amazing curriculum that has shown incredible success in getting students engaged and excited about learning. Worksheets do not develop dendrites. My students' lives would benefit from having this resource in the classroom by giving them another option of supporting what they have learned. I want all students to love learning; I work hard to plant that seed in their heart. An interest in reading will help prepare them for the world that awaits. When children enjoy learning at a young age, they are more likely to carry this attitude throughout their years in school.
