I love my classroom to mimic a true and authentic learning space where students discuss real issues affecting our society and their futures while learning about some great literary techniques useful to them in their continued learning paths. I love for them to guide the lessons and to have genuine discussions based on meaningful and current topics. These past few years as a teacher of adolescents has been difficult with real and at-times discouraging events happening that are hard to understand and to teach but I want to open up a healthy and intelligent discussion because education is the only way we will evolve. I want to use literature that is current to guide such discussions and so we ask for your help in providing these books that my school district unfortunately cannot provide us. Thank you.
