I teach small groups of students with specific skills for literacy and math. My students begin with a series of independent math and literacy stations. If funded, two miniature Apple iPads would create customizable learning experiences for my entire class. Learning examples on these miniature Apple iPads include (but not limited): Math: practice math skills, number formation, and problem solving at individualized levels. Reading: apps allow students to read text to them or follow along as they are being read to, letter and word formation, phonics and phonemic awareness based activities. I am preparing these children for 21st century leadership and life skills. Each child in my room has a need for access to more technology in order to understand and learn the rigorous curriculum. I believe the addition of two iPad minis in the classroom will aid in independent learning and growth, as well as inspire learning. Thank you for your generosity!
