A leveled library in my classroom will not only encourage my students to read but they will have access to texts that will deepen their knowledge and skills in the real world. My students need access to authentic texts from different genres so that they are able to read independently at their own level. The students I work with all come from lower income families and from countries all around the world. It is important to me that they all get the opportunities that they deserve. In my classroom, I provide blended learning opportunities where students are able to continue to grow at their own pace and level. The leveled library will allow my students to practice good reading habits and learn the process of choosing the right text to read. This is immensely important because my students need enriching texts to excel and the chance to have access to printed word texts.
