By donating to this project, you are providing my students the opportunity to become readers and thinkers. Becoming a lifelong lover of reading will benefit them in both school and their careers. By starting early, I hope to show my students a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Not only will my students learn to love reading with these leveled library books, but they will learn to become active participants in their own learning. The neighborhood where my students live is often times not a welcoming place for learning. Although they may have older siblings that aren't as enthused about learning, I hope that by providing them with books that are new and interesting, they will be able to make their own judgements about the importance of learning.
