They may be the "littles" of the school but they are going to learn just how powerful they really can be. By combining this hands-on curriculum kit with my other conservation lessons, my students will learn that they make a huge impact on this planet. What a powerful gift to give them that they matter and that they can spark change. The kit expands my students' understanding of the environmental issues that affect their everyday lives. They will investigate whether landfills really work, effects of radiation on plants, and climate change and greenhouse effect. Water treatment processes; airborne, soil, and water pollutants will also be addressed.
