In my class we cover all forms of music. I cover grade levels from kindergarten to eighth grade. I teach all types of ideas in music class. We learn about composers, music theory, music history, styles of music, and instruments. We also talk about how music can relate to other subjects they are studying and how music is an important foundation for other areas of learning. We use a lot materials from the smart board to crayons and paper. I try to make learning music fun and exciting, and learn songs they have never heard before. I also teach middle school chorus. We are currently in our first year, so we really have very limited supplies for that class.
