So what is this mini-marvel on the move? An Ozobot is a way to teach students the basic level of coding. The students use color combinations to program the Ozobot to maneuver through mazes and obstacle courses or to even to dance! This mini robot gives our students an engaging, hands-on learning tool to build their basic coding skills. Many of our students lack the opportunity to engage in programs outside of school that promote computational thinking and problem solving, skills that the next generation of leaders need to be successful. Coding combines mathematics, logic and reasoning skills, and teaches students to think in a new way about the world. By trial and error they are able to tackle complex problems in efficient ways to come to a viable solution. In the digital world that we live in currently and will move towards in the future, it is crucial that a all children learn to be engineers, but it is critical that they learn to code. Donations will help each our students learn the valuable skills through coding so that they can be successful students today and in the future!
