Studies show that musicianship fosters discipline, and scholarship, specifically neural connections that relate to patterns, seen in mathematics and science. Music is the glue that solidifies the connection between mathematics, science and the arts. Musicians are happier, less prone to teenage angst, and engaged with others. Our music classes support cross-age bonding as well as other social skills that prepare students for life beyond high school, be it college or career. We need your help. Sixteen music chairs in our classroom will save us time every day not having to search through the building for chairs that work. We want our musicians to know that we take them seriously: to sit tall, to play well, to reach for the stars. Won't you help us today?
