As an educator one of my main goals is for the children in my classroom to become lifelong learners who problem solve and think for themselves. I believe the learners in my class can reach this goal by giving them as much choice as I can in what they learn, how they learn, and where they learn. One way I would like to offer choice in our classroom is through flexible seating options. My students need flexible seating options that vary in comfort, size, texture, and movement. The learners can choose which seating option will best meet their learning needs at that time. I want our room to be a space for reflective thinking, collaboration, and movement. This furniture will transform our classroom into a flexible learning space that meets the needs of all learning styles and preferences.
