I want my students to learn to make observations and inquiries about the seemingly invisible natural world around them. I teach at a Title 1 school and I am desperately lacking in scientific equipment. Most of my students come from impoverished backgrounds and our school has experienced much chaos in the past few years. My students are eager and curious to learn about science at the macro and micro scales. A digital microscope would allow my students to learn a great deal about the invisible world around them and to learn to investigate and observe nature. A digital microscope would be the most efficient and economical way for whole class to experience microscopy.
