My students will be highly engaged, working with their peers, using academic vocabulary, solving math problems, and testing scientific hypotheses, all while they think they're "just playing." I am fortunate to have already inherited a set of Unit Blocks, an item that used to be a staple in K classrooms but is now, sadly, rare. These new materials, blocks, fairy tale stem kit, and construction vehicles will support and extend the learning and play that our Unit Blocks provide, so that my students have the benefit of tried-and-true learning materials combined with new accessories that extend the play. My TK students absolutely need hands-on activities like this to do their best learning and my K's can certainly benefit (and have a blast!) too!
