Research shows that in order to make strong growth in literacy, students should be reading for at least 90 minutes per day. In order to achieve this goal, my students need a multitude of books at their fingertips! In such a diverse school, students reading levels vary greatly within the classroom. Having a wide array of titles for students to choose from allows students at all levels to access high interest books, of their choice. I want my students to grow into well-informed thinkers, and lifelong learners. A diverse classroom library full of engaging literature is crucial for students love of reading, and therefore their love of learning!

About my class
