To foster more student creativity and student collaboration, I have been including more STEAM activities in the lab. By incorporating STEAM activities, my students are using more critical thinking skills instead of just completing projects that lack individuality. 3D printing has become a favorite activity. However, we borrow a 3D printer from our district and only a small number of students are able to complete a project. By having 3D pens, students will have a tool readily available for use and less time needed to complete their project. This will foster more student creativity, as well as create collaboration ideas and discussion.
