Fired up! That is how I want my students to feel about learning. The Kindle Fire tablets will be used to do just that. There is no denying the major role technology engagement can add to learning. Students will be able to work in cooperative groups as well as with partners during centers, to remediate and enrich in not only reading and math, but other subjects as well. Students will be able to research science and social studies topics studied in class with visual representations of people, places and experiments. Two desktop computers do not afford students a daily opportunity to use technology, an opportunity many don't have after school. As an educator, nothing frightens me more than the thought of students not being able to reach their potential due to insufficient resources. I am confident that the addition of the Kindle Fire tablets will help bridge the gap and light a fire of success for my students.
