Students in my classroom would benefit from flexible seating within my classroom. First grade students need to move and wiggle throughout the day, with these options they have a wide variety of seating choices and movement. The stability balls are great choices as they allow movement and provide exercise for the students. The cushion seats allow movement at their desk with no distraction to others. And finally the pillows provide a cozy place for their bottoms and a comfortable spot for read to self time. Students that are active participant more in their daily work and stay more engaged. Movement has also shown an increase in student retention of knowledge and information.
