My students will be able to listen to reading independently during our Daily 5 block while I pull small groups. It is very important for students to interact with text as much as possible because many do not have these opportunities at home. All of my students have favorite authors/stories that they love to hear over and over. The Kindle Fire will allow them opportunities to hear their personal favorites as well. Students will explore websites featuring interactive books and engaging phonics games to learn to read. Both starfall.com and abcmouse.com will be utilized on a daily basis for students build their literacy skills.
