All students need to be comfortable in the classroom - both physically and mentally. Creating an atmosphere that is welcoming and warm is important to everyone. By allowing students to use balance ball chairs that provide fluidity and movement, I want them to be able to feel at ease and be better able to engage in the lessons being presented. Even adults find it difficult to sit in meetings for long periods of time. I try very hard to remember to allow my students ample time for movement, and I believe these balance ball chairs will benefit my students tremendously in this area - especially those who have trouble sitting still to begin with due to ADHD.
