Hello All! My name is Mrs. Ramos, I am a special education teacher for students with autism. Our school resides in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, just outside of Kansas City. We house about 850 students every year grades K-5. We also house one of the districts autism specialized instruction programs. We have a total of three classrooms with around 20 students total. Each classroom has a variety of needs and skills! We strive daily to work on essential skills for our students to become as independent as possible. Everyday we get to bond with our students and their families in ways many other educators don't get to experience, often over the course of many years. We truly see them progress, no matter how small the progress may seem to the outside world. Together we have over come many challenges and celebrated many successes! Our students teach us more than we could ever teach them!
