About my class

My school is a STEM focused school, and seeks to integrate technology in as many areas of learning as possible. Being that my students are 6 and 7, technology can get a little complicated when trying to use QR codes and our school-purchased library software as 4-6 students are working together in a center during literacy time. We use online programs such as MyOn and iRead to develop literacy skills, however, we don't always have enough technology available between our classes for students to share on a consistent basis, and they often end up fighting over which book to read because of the time constraints in centers. My goal is that through having the Kindle Fire technology, more students will be able to access quality literature, fall in love with characters and stories, and develop a passion for pursuing literacy more as they improve their skills through listening and playing with our school-purchased programs.
