Our school is located in a High-Poverty area of South Phoenix. Meaning students come from tough neighborhoods and mostly are unable to buy school supplies. The great thing about our school is the opportunity to excel through our STEM Program. Throughout the school year my students will be learning through project based learning. Meaning they will be required to do a lot of research, writing, and presentations. The supplies you donate will enhance their learning environment by providing them with opportunities they may have not had before. The supplies such as paper, pencils, highlighters will help the students gather notes, become stronger writers and better learn the information being taught. Other supplies such as the crayons, markers, glue, and scissors will assist students in completing multiple research projects that require a presentation such as a "Wax Museum." Additionally, the math supplies will assist students in bettering themselves with their math skills during our intervention period. In sum, these supplies make a big difference to the students by giving them encouragement and fostering the love of learning.
