Upper-elementary science this year, will focus on the living world and its six kingdoms of life. The students need microscopes to authentically engage in this study. Many fungus, animal, and plant species are easily observable without technology. Having visually experienced trees, birds, and yeast, a student incorporates them into his or her big picture of life. To experience smaller living things, however, the kids need better technology. Better eyes, microscope eyes, will allow students to interact with the unicellular community on and around them. When students have engaging hands-on experiences with microscopic organisms, lessons become even more relevant and memorable.
