Stability balls will allow students to discover more about themselves as learners. They will be given the option of using the stability ball as a chair or use a traditional chair. Since all students have the option, students who might be embarrassed that they need this type of support in the classroom will be less reluctant to use it. With the purchase of stability balls, students will also be able to move around without disrupting the class or each other. Less disruptions will lead to more learning, allowing all students to be successful. With all of the distractions that students face not allowing for movement, the stability balls will provide students with a little physical activity since they are strengthening their cores as they learn about social studies, language arts and literature.
