"My wonderful students need more music resources! I teach K-5 music in an urban district with very limited funding. I have amazing students with a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds, including African (Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya), Mexican, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, Dominican, Haitian, Jamaican, Polish, French, Irish, and several other cultures. For a lot of the children school is the only positive thing in their lives and they look forward to learning when walking through our doors. We have mainstreamed special education and therefore have several special needs students, mostly autistic. These drums will enable all students to learn together successfully.
