Most of the students I have the privilege to work with come from a very low socioeconomic backgeound. I am asking for assistance to provide them with a computer that they can check out and take home to work on projects. I teach Visual Arts, and have found it to be a great outlet of expression for many students who may be struggling academically. Providing students with a way in which thy can be successful is key for my program. I believe that Digital Storytelling and Digital Portfolios will give students an alternative to "written" projects and ultimately allow them the feeling of being successful.
