Having the appropriate school supplies will give students a jump start for success in the classroom. It is proven, "How a student starts the school year, is how a student will finish". Supplying students with these school supplies, will increase their likelihood for academic success. My students need binders, pencils, paper, and highlighters. As an English inclusion teacher, I plan to distribute supplies to parents who fill out the supply need list. This list allows families to obtain supplies without having a social-emotional impact or stigma. Additionally, many of our students remain truant until they are able to purchase supplies. These supplies will minimize the negative impact, and promote success.
