Welcome to my class. We have elementary students here facing a variety of challenges including deafness, autism, and intellectual delays. When you look around the room you may see students: working together on the Mimio board, completing literacy or math activities on the computer, involved in hands on activities in art, math, science, social studies, or literacy, or helping another student who may be having difficulty with an assignment. Students are actively engaged and know that only their best is expected. The challenge for me as their teacher is to have ability level and age appropriate activities to accommodate the different learning styles in my room. I accepted that challenge 26 years ago and continue to strive to meet the needs of my students and help them achieve success!
